Penguin Wreath

Everything always seems so blah after the Christmas decorations are put away.  Inspiration struck, and I created this penguin wreath to dress up the door.  Here's how to make it.

1.  Start with a foam wreath form, and wrap it in black tulle.

2.  Add the penguin's wings by cutting 20 inch lengths of black tulle.  Loop them around the sides of the wreath.  I put seven on each side.

3.  Next, add a white backing.  I used craft foam.  Tacky glue works well to hold it on.  I also added a few pins to reinforce the glue.

4.  Add eyes, a beak, and feet.  I used wiggle eyes and felt for the beak and feet.  I used tacky glue for the face.  I used glue and pins to attach the feet.  I also used some scrap ribbon to create a loop on the back to hang the wreath with.  I pinned this on.  Pins are great for foam wreaths!

You now have a great wreath to decorate your door for winter.  I added a bow, but a colorful winter hat would also look great!
